This April, we're going back to our musical roots! Ask your teacher to help you explore music 50 years ago - or 100 years ago - or 200 years ago - or more!
At the end of the month, we have a special fun event planned for you to find out about the "Loud-Soft"!
We are very excited that April is History Month again this year! Last year's event was a lot of fun thanks to our fantastic Music History Specialist, Kristen Bylenga. She's agreed to come back and work her magic again, so don't miss being here on Saturday, April 25!
- Young/Beginner students up to age 12 may come at 12:30pm
- Intermediate/Senior students ages 12+ may come at 1:30pm
This event's theme focuses on "The History of the Loud-Soft". We will discover who invented the piano, how very strange it looked at first, and many more secrets behind this instrument!
Please make sure we know you are coming! Log in, then go to April 25 on the calendar. Choose your class, click 'view' to open and then 'click here' to register.
April Performance Opportunity
Heads up! Coming very soon - - -
Our last Trendz performance was so much fun that we've scheduled another one for April 11 at 3pm. Choose a song with your teacher this week. A sign up form is ready for you at the front desk!
Structured Music Education: The Pathway to Success
The Royal Conservatory has released a second white paper, this time on how to set your child up for successful music lessons right from the start. It's a great read with wonderful infographics. We encourage you to have a look!
"Parents will find the following discussion useful in coming to an informed decision. This guide addresses frequently asked questions such as “When should my child begin music lessons?” and “What factors should be considered when selecting the best music program?” It outlines the benefits of a comprehensive, structured program of study involving high-quality evaluation and assessment"
